Lahore, 5 April 2026 Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) has established 800 rescue centers at key locations across the province, and has made comprehensive emergency arrangements, including dedicated rescue operations and medical cover at churches and other religious gatherings, to ensure public safety during Easter celebrations.
According to an official spokesperson, 2,300 motorcycles, 896 ambulances and 316 fire and rescue vehicles have been deployed across Punjab to ensure rapid response to any emergency.
The governorate’s emergency operations center monitors all rescue operations around the clock to ensure effective coordination and timely response throughout the governorate.
Emergency Services Secretary Dr. Rizwan Naseer has directed all district emergency officials to closely supervise field operations in their areas and ensure uninterrupted emergency response services alongside routine duties.
He urged citizens to immediately contact the nearest rescue center or call the emergency helpline 1122 in the event of any emergency.
