Sargodha (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5 April, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Sunday said that the e-business portal, launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has emerged as a highly effective tool for public facilitation, enabling citizens to access government services from their homes.
Providing details during the briefing, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza said that the district administration received 1,695 applications through the electronic portal of dateOf which 1,208 were completed.
He noted that 1,146 applications had been approved, while 486 were still being processed in various departments.
He explained that 269 applications are currently still pending due to incomplete documents or failure of applicants to pay the required fees.
Regarding specific sectors, he reported that five out of 10 applications for them gasoline Pumps were approved, while 713 applications for building construction were processed out of 913, resulting in 690 approvals.
The Deputy Commissioner further revealed that 140 land use conversion applications out of 230 applications have been approved and the remaining cases are expected to be finalized within the next five days.
According to the departmental breakdown provided by the DC, local government received 1,126 applications, followed by Agriculture with 172, FSCPD with 115, and Livestock with 95. Other departments including Housing (38), Environment (20), T&MD (12), FWF (46), District Administration (9), and Minerals (21) also received applications through the digital platform. Emphasizing the portal’s role in enhancing transparency, Vice President Hussain Ahmed Chaudhry said that the system eliminated the need for citizens to visit government offices and effectively curbed corruption.
He warned that strict legal action would be taken against any official who makes illegal requests or contacts applicants directly to obtain unauthorized gains.
