MULTAN (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5 April, 2026) Commissioner Amir Karim Khan has instructed officials to resolve local issues, especially those related to dog bites and open sewerage cases across the division.
While addressing a departmental meeting held here, he ordered that these matters be addressed through a coordinated approach combining modern technology and local citizen networking.
Amir Karim Khan ordered the relevant authorities to collect detailed data on dog bite cases and improve the monitoring system through village heads at the union council level. Officials were also asked to identify open drains and missing manhole covers.
Hospital administrations were directed to ensure the availability of rabies vaccines around the clock. The Commissioner also instructed all Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of the four districts in the division to maintain adequate supply of rabies vaccines at reproductive health centers and basic healthcare units.
The Commissioner stressed that providing basic health facilities to the public is a primary goal of both the provincial and territorial governments. He concluded that timely action is essential to protect the lives and property of people in the community.
