MULTAN (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5 April, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi paid tribute to martyr Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, noting that he was the only true public leader in the country’s history who consistently defended people’s rights and never bowed down to oppression.
Speaking at a ceremony held late Saturday night to mark the 47th anniversary of Bhutto’s death, Conde said her sacrifice symbolizes the enduring struggle for democracy and public rights that cannot be suppressed. He added that Bhutto’s vision continues to inspire democratic consciousness even after decades.
This event was organized by Pakistan Peoples Party Multan District General Secretary Rao Sajid Ali Khan.
Conde said that Benazir Bhutto continued Bhutto’s democratic mission with courage and sacrifice, while President Asif Ali Zardari works to enhance democratic continuity and national unity. He added that Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is striving for constitutional and democratic sovereignty and achieving the party’s ideological vision.
He further stated that Bhutto played a pivotal role in making Pakistan a nuclear power, thus strengthening national defense and deterring adversaries. Commenting on global conditions, Conde noted that the impact of tensions between the United States and Iran is being felt around the world, including rising inflation in Pakistan. He stressed the need for national unity to confront these economic challenges.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the soul of the late leader.
