Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – April 4, 2026 AD) Director General of the Water and Sanitation Agency, Ghufran Ahmed, directed on Saturday to accelerate the pace of development projects and ensure their timely completion at all costs.
He chaired an online review meeting in which important directives were issued to accelerate development projects and sanitation operations.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the ongoing development plans within the framework of the governorate project was held Lahore The second phase development program, as well as the performance of field operations. All managers and XENs participated via webinar and provided briefings on the progress of projects in their cities.
The meeting was informed that 94% of the work on the second phase of the Lahore Development Program has been completed and the project has entered its final phase.
WASA Director Ghufran Ahmed said that providing the best sanitation facilities to citizens was the organisation’s top priority.
He directed that silting operations be carried out effectively in accordance with the group table.
He also stressed the need for periodic cleaning of road drains and continuous monitoring of the condition of manhole covers.
The meeting further stressed that any delay in addressing public complaints will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Director General directed the field staff to personally supervise and ensure immediate and effective resolution of complaints so that citizens do not face any inconvenience.
