Lahore, April 4, 2026 (Urdu Point Network, Pakistan, April 26, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority has disposed of 1,300 kilograms of dead chicken and lodged two FIRs against the suspects involved in this crime. food Forgery during ongoing operations against the fraud mafia.

According to the official spokesperson, the enforcement teams implemented multiple measures based on the directives of Director General Muhammad Asim Javed to ensure the provision of safe food, which is a basic right of every citizen.

During the operations, food safety teams also confiscated 1,920 liters of adulterated cold drinks, filling machines, a supplied vehicle, 780 bottles and other related materials used in illegal production activities.

Officials recovered dead chickens from a supplier vehicle (No. SAC-4666) at Ghazi Fatak Bypass, which was reportedly being transported for supply to local markets. In a separate raid, a counterfeit drinks manufacturing unit was uncovered in the city of Wahja, where counterfeit labels, caps, raw materials, and finished products were seized.

The General Manager said that the unit illegally produces soft drinks of well-known brands using unfiltered water under extremely unhygienic conditions, where a significant insect infestation has also been observed. He added that operators failed to produce basic sales records and documents.

He further stated that the counterfeit mafia was misleading consumers by selling substandard products under the guise of famous brands, posing a serious threat to public health. He warned that there was no place in Punjab for elements who put public health at risk for financial gain.

The Director General said that on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister, operations against food adulteration are being conducted round the clock to ensure safe and nutritious food to the citizens.

He also urged the public to support the Palestinian Football Association in eliminating the cheating mafia and to report complaints via the 1223 helpline.
