Islamabad (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – April 3, 2026) Federalism Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry announced on Friday that all public transportation in Islamabad will operate free of charge starting tomorrow for a period of one month.
In a post on X, he said that in a similar move, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also announced free public transport services across the province.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Tariq Fadl said that the measure aims to provide comfort to the public during difficult times, with the government’s commitment to providing all possible support to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
