Islamabad Capital Territory – The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (ICT-PEIRA) has notified a four-day working week for private educational institutions (PEIs) operating within the Islamabad Capital Territory amid the government’s austerity and fuel conservation measures.

Islamabad, April 2, 2026 – Islamabad Capital Region – The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (ICT-PEIRA) has notified a four-day working week for private educational institutions operating within the Islamabad Capital Region amid the austerity and fuel conservation measures taken by the government.

According to a notification issued on Thursday, “i5n in accordance with the approval of the competent authority and in continuation of the austerity and fuel conservation measures taken by the government, all Private Educational Institutions (PEIs) operating within the Islamabad Capital Territory have been notified of a four-day working week (Monday to Thursday) for academic activities within the campus, with immediate effect and until further orders.”

All concerned have been directed to ensure strict compliance.
