Gilgit (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – 2 Apr, 2026) As many as 18 police officers and personnel have been dismissed from service following an administrative investigation into the incidents of arson and disturbances that took place in Skardu in March 2026.
As per the official orders issued by the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Baltistan District, those dismissed are one inspector, two sub-inspectors, along with senior constables and constables.
The aggrieved officers and personnel have been given the right to file an appeal with the Inspector General of Police, Gilgit-Baltistan within the stipulated period.
Gilgit-Baltistan Police Spokesperson stated that enforcement of rule of law, accountability system and disciplinary procedures within the department are being ensured at all costs.
