Federal Minister for Culture and National Heritage Huzaifa Rehman and Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Daniel Chowdhury graced the event as the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.
Batting first after winning the toss, Digital scored 138 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 15 overs. Kashif Majeed led the innings with 62 runs. By the national media, Abrar Astori took three wickets and was later named the best player.
In reply, National Media managed 110 runs in their allotted 15 overs, with Harun Mughal scoring 40, as Digital Media cruised to a 28-run win.
Guest of Honor Huzaifa Rehman and Guest of Honor Daniyal Chowdhury distributed prizes to the players.
Kashif Majeed was named man of the match in his 62-run innings, while the winning trophy was presented to Digital Media skipper Ahmed Najeeb Sati.
Speaking on the occasion, Daniel Chaudhry said that the current government has spared no effort to provide Sports Facilities and ensuring the availability of grounds.
The Parliamentary Secretary congratulated the two teams for the sportsmanship they demonstrated, stressing that such positive activities promote peace in society.
