Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st March, 2026) The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has carried out enforcement operations in different areas of the provincial capital, where notices have been issued to eight popular restaurants.
PRA enforcement teams conducted inspections across multiple locations in the provincial capital, a PRA spokesperson said here on Monday.
He said that a farm was closed due to continuous failure to pay taxes and tampering with sales records, while fines were imposed on several sales outlets for violating tax laws.
In addition, action has been taken in upscale areas following complaints of non-compliance.
Notices were sent to eight well-known restaurants for noted violations.
Companies collecting taxes from the public and not depositing them in the national treasury constitutes a crime punishable by law. The authority examines companies involved in tampering with sales records.
The spokesperson also stressed that strict action, including closure of premises and imposition of severe penalties, will be taken against those who fail to correct their records despite receiving notifications.
