Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30 March 2026) On the directives of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, Lahore The town planning wing of the Development Authority (LDA) has intensified operations against illegal commercial buildings and commercial duty defaulters across the city.
During a large-scale operation conducted in various housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas, LDA teams demolished 11 illegal structures and sealed 20 properties involved in unauthorized commercial use.
Enforcement activities were carried out at LDA Avenue One, Jubilee Town, Eden Lane Villas and other housing schemes.
In LDA Avenue One, Jubilee Town and Eden Lane Villas, 11 illegal structures were demolished, including marquees, iron warehouses, restaurants, schools, workshops, sheds, billboards and shops.
Meanwhile, in private housing schemes, 20 properties were closed due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial duties. Closed properties include private schools, grocery stores, restaurants, food Points, shops and offices.
The operation was undertaken under the supervision of second chief city planner Azhar Ali.
