Rawalpindi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th March, 2026) Police arrested a man for making a fake emergency call on helpline No. 15 during a crackdown here on Sunday.
According to the police spokesman, the accused called the emergency helpline claiming that three armed robbers had managed to commit a robbery against him.
Immediately, Sadiqabad police arrived at the scene and began investigation.
However, no such incident was found to have occurred, and the caller’s report was determined to be false.
Police confirmed that the person intentionally made a fake call to the emergency helpline.
A case was registered against the suspect, and he has since been arrested.
SP Rawal Saad Arshad emphasized that Helpline 15 is a vital emergency service for citizens, and warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone who misuses it.
