A spokesman said rescue teams responded to accidents in all 37 districts of the province, transporting 798 seriously injured victims to hospitals, while providing first aid to 905 others at the scene, relieving pressure on healthcare facilities.
The spokesman said motorcycles were responsible for 78 percent of accidents, highlighting the need for strict enforcement of traffic laws and lane discipline.
The data showed that among the victims were 917 drivers, 64 underage drivers, 178 pedestrians, and 624 passengers.
