Peshawar, March 27, 2026 Jamrud Police carried out two separate operations against drug smugglers on Friday, confiscating a large quantity of drugs and arresting two suspects.
According to the police, the actions were carried out under the leadership of District Police Officer Waqar Ahmed and supervision of SHO Jamrud Siddiq Khan.
In the first operation, the security services thwarted a drug smuggling attempt near the Wazir Dahand corridor.
The police found 2 kg of ice (crystal meth) and 800 narcotic pills in the possession of the accused Zahidullah, a resident of Shinwari Khoji Khel, and sent him to remand.
In another operation, carried out at a checkpoint on Shakas Road, under the supervision of Nafees Khan, the police arrested a motorcyclist named Wali Muhammad, a resident of Zhakha Khel, and seized more than 3.6 kilograms of hashish in his possession.
Cases have been registered against the accused under the Narcotics Law, and investigations are still ongoing.
