KARACHI (APP – Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – 25th Mar, 2026) The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will start in Karachi on March 26, strictly adhering to the government’s national austerity policy. No spectators will be allowed into the stadium, but print and electronic media will be allowed to cover.

This decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi to review the PSL arrangements. The meeting decided to provide guaranteed security for the players and ensure the presence of firefighters and health units in anticipation of any unexpected emergency.

Dr Maqsood Ahmad gave a brief explanation of security at DIG Security, while DIG Traffic Syed Pir Muhammad Shah explained the traffic and parking arrangements. Deputy Governor of Sharqia, Nasrallah Abbasi, was briefed on the arrangements, noting that all facilitative arrangements are made in coordination with the National Stadium administration and the concerned departments.

PCB Representative and General Manager of National Stadium Arshad Khan informed that Karachi will host 21 matches, including 5 day and night matches. Day matches start at 2:30 pm, while night matches start at 7 pm.
