United Nations (APP – Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – 25 March 2026) United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, on Tuesday, welcomed the possibility Pakistan Hosting talks between the United States and Iran in order to reach a comprehensive settlement to the ongoing conflict in the region middle east.
In response to a question about the possibility of Pakistan hosting peace talks, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters that “any country or any group of countries that can help bring the United States and Iran together, in order to end this conflict, is welcome.”

In response to a question about whether the United Nations expects any role in helping to end this conflict, Dujarric said: “The Secretary-General, as we said, is always available to the parties to assist as is the case in any conflict. He remains involved in the issues surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, he said.”
In Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that Pakistan was “ready and honored” to host “meaningful and decisive talks” between the United States and Iran.
