
Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that, provided the United States and Iran agree, Pakistan is ready and honored to be the host to facilitate meaningful and decisive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24 March 2026) Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that, subject to the approval of the United States and Iran, “Pakistan is ready and honored to be the host to facilitate meaningful and decisive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict.”
The Prime Minister said on his handle X Pakistan They welcomed and fully supported ongoing efforts to continue dialogue to end the war in the country middle East, for the benefit of peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry spokesman Taher Hossein Andarabi confirmed that Islamabad is “already ready to host talks” between Iran and the United States.
“If the two sides agree, Pakistan is always ready to host the talks,” the spokesman told CNN on Monday evening.
In a separate conversation with The Express Tribune on Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Islamabad remains firmly committed to resolving the conflict through dialogue and engagement, in line with its long-standing foreign policy principles.
“Pakistan, consistent with its long-term policy, remains committed to resolving the conflict in the Middle East/Persian Gulf through diplomatic means and commitments,” the newspaper quoted him as saying.
He also stressed that diplomacy and negotiations often require that some matters be presented with caution, noting that the media is encouraged to refrain from speculation and wait for official announcements regarding decisions and results.
Later, US President Donald Trump shared Prime Minister Shehbaz’s statement on his Social Truth platform.
