Islamabad, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th Mar, 2026) The rupee on Tuesday appreciated by 03 paise against the US dollar in interbank trade and closed at Rs 279.22 compared to the previous day’s close of Rs 279.25.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279.2 and Rs 280.25, respectively.
The euro rate against the rupee rose by Rs 4.
To close at Rs 26 at Rs 324.01 compared to the previous day’s close of Rs 319.75, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese Yen exchange rate rose by 01 paise to close at Rs 1.76, while the British Pound exchange rate witnessed an increase of Rs 4.60 to close at Rs 374.80 compared to Rs 370.20 the previous day.
The emirate’s exchange rate fell by 02 paise to close at Rs 76.01. While the Saudi riyal rose by 02 baisas and closed at 74.38 rupees.
