Sargodha (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th March, 2026) Police arrested 119 proclaimed criminals and habitual criminals during a massive district-wide operation over the past week, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
On the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Dost Mohammad, police teams targeted individuals involved in various criminal activities to maintain law and order in the area.
Of the detainees, 14 belonged to Category A, 79 to Category B, and 26 were identified as habitual criminals.
The suspects were taken to police stations across Sargodha, where legal proceedings were initiated.
The DPO reiterated its commitment to making Sargodha crime-free, stressing that the crackdown will continue indiscriminately until all the outlaws are brought to justice.
“Protecting the lives and property of citizens remains our top priority,” he added, adding that declared criminals have no place in the region.
