Islamabad, March 23, 2026 Thousands of people continued to visit three major parks in Islamabad on the third day of Eid al-Fitr, as the district administration remained active in the field to review arrangements and ensure public access to the facilities.
Crowds were seen at Lake View Park, Daman-e-Kuh and Shakarbarian National Park, where families gathered for picnics and recreational activities. The administration has made arrangements at these sites to manage the flow of visitors and provide basic services.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Assistant Commissioners visited parks and other public places throughout the day. They monitored the arrangements and met police and district administration staff deployed on duty during Eid. The officials also exchanged Eid greetings with workers in the field.
During the visits, the assistant commissioners reviewed parking management, security measures and other public facilities. They check whether visitors are being facilitated properly and whether available resources are being used as planned.
The district administration said that the necessary steps have been taken to manage traffic on the roads leading to these parks.
Special measures have also been implemented to prevent unsafe one-wheel driving on main roads during the Eid holiday. Teams remained deployed at key points to monitor movement and respond if necessary.
Officials said the goal is to ensure families are able to spend time in public without interruption. The administration added that coordination was maintained between the police and field staff throughout the day to deal with crowds and maintain order.
In addition, strict implementation of the “Families Only” policy in family parks has been ensured. Authorities said entry rules were followed to maintain a controlled environment for visitors.
The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad directed that all possible steps should be taken to provide safe and accessible entertainment facilities to the public during Eid. Field staff have been instructed to remain present at key sites and continue monitoring throughout the holidays.
The administration stated that these efforts will continue throughout the remaining days of Eid to manage crowds and ensure public comfort at entertainment sites throughout the city.
