The capital, Haripur, calls for precautionary measures during the Eid holiday

Haripur, March 23, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Haripur stressed the importance of ensuring public safety and smooth delivery of services during Eid al-Fitr 2026, urging citizens to cooperate with the administration and follow precautionary measures for safe and peaceful celebrations across the district. He expressed these views during a visit to Khanpur Lake to review safety measures.

Deputy Commissioner Haripur assured that the district administration has made comprehensive arrangements to facilitate citizens and tourists during the Eid holidays. He said special measures have been taken at key public places, including Khanpur Dam, where security, rescue and guidance services have been strengthened.

He also said that a Tourist Facilitation Center has been set up to assist visitors, while Rescue 1122, local police, TMA staff and field revenue teams have been deployed in the field to ensure safety and provide timely assistance. A dedicated water rescue team has also been stationed at Khanpur Dam to respond to any emergency.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the public to take precautionary measures and cooperate with the authorities so that Eid celebrations can be enjoyed in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Haripur, Muhammad Faseeh Ishaq Abbasi, remained active in the field and paid a surprise visit to the district headquarters hospital. During the visit, he checked the attendance of doctors and employees and reviewed the duty list to ensure that the service was provided appropriately during the Eid days.

His Highness also inspected the emergency department, hospital departments, and health care facilities in general. The availability of medications and hygiene conditions were carefully reviewed, and the hospital administration was directed to ensure that the best possible medical services were provided to patients during the vacation period.

Later, the Assistant Commissioner visited the control room of the DC office, where he was briefed on the system for registering and handling public complaints. He recommended that employees ensure rapid and effective response to public grievances.

In addition, Assistant Commissioner Khanpur visited Khanpur Dam to review the security and safety arrangements in coordination with Rescue 1122. Officials from all relevant departments were present on the field, actively participating in guiding tourists and maintaining order, reflecting the department’s commitment to public service during Eid al-Fitr.
