Nawab Shahd (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23 Mar, 2026) The Highway Police organized a special road safety awareness briefing for motorcyclists in Sakkrand Bypass area under the directives of the Inspector General of Highway Police.
Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury, Additional Inspector General Munir Ahmed Sheikh, Director General Javed Akbar Riaz, and Sector Commander Muhammad Afzal Majeed. During the course, motorcyclists were introduced in detail to the dangers of driving without helmets, excessive speed, and unsafe driving practices.
The briefing was given by DSP Azim Khan Zardari, who issued clear instructions emphasizing that both the passenger and pillion rider must wear helmets at all times.
The DSP advised riders to strictly avoid carrying more than one passenger, performing single wheeling, and engaging in other dangerous activities. Underage driving and unlicensed driving were declared statutory offences, and participants were urged to fully comply with the law.
Motorcyclists were also directed to stick to the far left side of the road, maintain lane discipline, and strictly follow all traffic rules to ensure their safety and the safety of other road users.
