Islamabad (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – March 22, 2026) President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif exchanged congratulations by telephone on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
The Prime Minister briefed the President on recent contacts with heads of state in the region.
They discussed the general regional situation and its impact on it Pakistan.
The President stressed the need to protect national interests and coordinate strategy in the context of the changing situation in the region.
He said that Pakistan’s interests must be defended at all levels through national consensus and effective diplomatic relations.
