Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21 March 2026) On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, large numbers of citizens visited at least three major parks in the city, with the district administration conducting inspections to review arrangements for visitors.
Assistant commissioners visited public places to check parking, security and crowd management during the holiday.
The families gathered at Lake View Park, Daman-e-Kuh and Shakarbarian National Park, where special arrangements were made to facilitate visitors. Officials said that these parks remained major sites for entertainment on Eid day.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners visited parks and other public places to monitor the situation. During the visits, they also met with police personnel deployed on duty and exchanged Eid greetings with them.
Officials reviewed parking arrangements, security measures and general management at the parks. They added that steps have been taken to deal with the influx of visitors and maintain order in crowded areas.
The district administration also implemented a plan to control public behavior on main roads.
Necessary measures have been taken to stop reckless activities and ensure smooth traffic movement near crowded sites.
The assistant commissioners expanded their visits beyond parks and inspected other public areas where people congregate in large numbers. Authorities said surveillance teams remained active to respond to any problem during the day.
The Deputy Commissioner directed that all possible facilities be provided to citizens for recreation during Eid. He said departments must ensure that public spaces remain accessible to families and organized.
He also directed strict implementation of the “family only” policy in designated parks. Officials said entry rules were in place to maintain a suitable environment for families visiting with their children.
The authorities said that coordination between the district administration and the police continued throughout the day to manage crowds and ensure safety in public places. They added that monitoring will continue during the Eid holiday to support citizens in visiting parks and other recreational sites.
