Chiniot (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19 Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Thursday led a comprehensive review of hygiene, sanitation and beautification arrangements across Chiniot to ensure smooth public facilities ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
The Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by Director Sadiq Abbas Haral, and officials from COMC, WASA and Suthra Punjab, visited Pir Hafiz Dewan Cemetery to assess sanitation conditions. The authorities were directed to complete the cleaning of all cemeteries throughout the region before Eid, so that citizens can visit the resting place of their loved ones without disturbance, and were directed to provide all necessary facilities.
Later, the team visited library Park on Sargodha Road to review the ongoing beautification works, hygiene arrangements and food Street preparation. The Deputy Commissioner ordered all development works to be completed by tonight, with emphasis on proper lighting in all public places to enhance safety and appearance.
Reviewing the arrangements at various locations designated for Eid gatherings, it directed the Punjab Cleaning Departments, Municipal Committee and WASA to ensure thorough cleaning of roads, eids and other public places, thus providing a clean and welcoming environment to the citizens during the festive occasion.
