FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19 Mar, 2026) The district administration has imposed strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for drama plays in all theaters across the city during Eid al-Fitr to improve the quality of shows and prevent unwanted content.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner General (General) Fazal Abbas reviewed the arrangements for theatrical plays and discussed the necessary measures to implement the government’s directives.
Arts Council Deputy Director Imran Raza briefed the participants on the SOPs issued to theatres, and said strict compliance would help in improving the standard of dramas while discouraging unethical and inappropriate elements.
The meeting was held in light of the directives of Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Uzma Bukhari, Minister for Information and Culture Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani and Executive Director of Punjab Arts Council Mahbub Alam Chowdhury.
Theater owners, producers and directors from various theatres Faisalabad He attended the meeting and assured full cooperation with the administration.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) clarified that strict action will be taken in case of any violation of SOPs as any obscene or indecent content will not be tolerated in stage dramas.
He warned that the district administration will continue to monitor theaters during Eid al-Fitr and will take legal action against those found to be violating government guidelines.
