Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that the government is taking all possible steps to promote quality education and create much better opportunities for the youth of the region in line with the needs of the latter regime.

He expressed these views during his meeting with the country director of NGO, Muskim Hands, Khalid Gilani, whom he and his accompanying delegation visited following the MoU signing ceremony between Haveli University and the NGO held in the federal capital on Tuesday, APP AJK correspondent reported quoting reliable official sources in the AJK government on Tuesday.

? The Prime Minister described the signing of the MoU as a positive development and said that such steps are very important to promote education.

Welcoming the provision of scholarships by the NGO Islamic Hands, he said this would help deserving Haveli students pursue higher education besides enabling them to play a positive role in community development.

The Prime Minister further said that the government is keen to enhance cooperation between educational institutions and social welfare organizations so that the younger generation can be empowered.

It is worth noting that under this memorandum of understanding, the NGO will provide 100 scholarships to Haveli University students.

Sources said that the memorandum of understanding was signed by the director of the NGO, Khalid Gilani, and Vice Chancellor of Haveli University, Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, in the presence of the Prime Minister and other senior officials.
