On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arif Khan, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Janbaz Ahmed conducted visits to various markets and commercial areas across the district.
During the inspections, officials checked the prices and quality of basic food items. Several bakeries, storage facilities, shops and tandoors were also inspected to ensure their compliance with official regulations.
The traders were briefed on the directives of the provincial government regarding selling food items at set prices and maintaining proper hygiene standards.
Officials warned that strict legal measures will be taken against violators found to be involved in exaggerating prices or maintaining poor sanitary conditions.
