Faisalabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14 March, 2026) The Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) has approved several development plans to improve public facilities across the division.
Divisional Commissioner Raja Jehangir Anwar chaired the DDWP meeting and gave approval for setting up a trauma center at Samundri, repairing, rehabilitating and beautifying Mochi Bazaar at Chak Gomra and providing furniture to various colleges of the division under the Missing Facilities programme.
The forum also approved the establishment of an enforcement station of Punjab Environmental Protection Agency in Lalyan tehsil, besides repair and rehabilitation of the road from Resalawala Road to Dikot Drain.
The meeting also approved another important scheme related to erosion control along the banks of River Chenab near Moza Sahmal Bhawana in Chiniot district to protect surrounding lands and settlements.
The officials briefed the meeting on the proposed development plans for the fiscal year 2026-2027.
He added that projects of pressing public importance will be included in the budget for the next fiscal year so that citizens can benefit from improved civic facilities and development initiatives across the department.
