Attock (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14 Mar, 2026) Attock Police intercepted a passenger truck on GT Road near Attock Khurd, and confiscated 7 kg of hashish and 1.1 kg of ice hidden in the vehicle. Two smugglers, Noman and Omar, from Nowshera, were arrested.
The duo, part of an inter-provincial drug trafficking network, were posing as scrap dealers.
They were trying to transport drugs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab.
According to an APP reporter, the value of the stolen items is in the millions, and the police have registered a case under Section 9-C of the Narcotics Control Act 1997. Further investigations are underway.
The operation highlights the efforts made by the Attock Police to combat drug trafficking.
