According to the official spokesman for the Department of Information and Communications Technology, the district administration carried out the operation through coordinated teams working in several areas of the capital. Officials said the measure targeted individuals involved in professional begging in markets, traffic signals, public roads and other crowded places.

According to the administration, field teams carried out inspections in multiple commercial sectors and areas. During these inspections, 58 people involved in professional begging were arrested. After their arrest, the detainees were transferred to police stations to take legal action.

Officials stated that professional begging has become a source of concern in several areas of the city, especially during the month of October Ramadan When public places receive large numbers of visitors. Authorities said some groups were moving across different locations and operating in an organized manner.

The administration said that operations against professional beggars are conducted regularly. Teams from the relevant departments are conducting checks at different times of the day and night to prevent the return of organized begging groups to public areas.

The authorities stated that the purpose of these measures is to reduce organized begging activities and ensure that public places remain accessible to residents and visitors.

Officials also urged citizens to report cases of organized begging to the administration so that enforcement teams can respond quickly.

The district administration said that the campaign will continue in the coming days, and similar operations will be carried out in other areas of Islamabad to address the issue.
