The Minister of Railways issues directives to improve facilities at stations and trains

Lahore (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – 13 March 2026) Federalism Railways Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Friday issued several directives aimed at improving facilities at railway stations and trains across the country.

He chaired a meeting in Pakistan Railway headquarters, where officials gave him a detailed explanation about providing facilities to passengers at railway stations and on board trains.

During the meeting, the Minister directed that uniform seats be installed at railway stations across the country to ensure better comfort and convenience for passengers. He also instructed officials to outsource cleaning of other railway stations similarly Lahore and Karachi In order to maintain higher levels of cleanliness.

Muhammad Hanif Abbasi also directed that Awam Express and Allama Iqbal Express and Socor Express will be upgraded by June 30th. He also ordered improvements to the rake of Hazara Express to enhance passenger facilities.
