Social workers described the nation’s valuable assets

Sialkot, March 13, 2026 Deputy Director of Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Department Chaudhry Muhammad Sharif Ghuman said that NGOs and social workers are a valuable asset to the nation as they play a positive role in addressing public issues in various sectors of life.

These views were expressed during the ration distribution ceremony, which was organized in cooperation with the Social Welfare Department and various social organizations to families in need as part of the Ramadan and Eid relief package.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Muhammad Sharif Ghuman, Director of Social Welfare and Bait Al-Mal, said that social welfare organizations actively support and serve low-income families during the holy month of Ramadan by providing basic assistance and relief.

Assistant Directors Abrar Abdullah Sahi and Abu Sufyan were also present at the event along with social leaders including Muhammad Ashfaq Nisar, Afifa Fatima, Chaudhry Muhammad Yusuf, Amir Javed, Muhammad Adeel and Ashiq Hussain Toor, in addition to representatives of several social organisations.

Chaudhry Sharif Ghuman stressed that spreading happiness and alleviating difficulties for people is one of the best practices among people and pleasing to God Almighty.

He praised the dedication and commitment of social welfare institutions working to improve society, saying that their efforts deserve praise and appreciation not only by the department but by the entire community.
