Gujrat (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13 Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Noor Ain Qureshi chaired a meeting of the District Planning and Design Committee to review construction plans for various construction projects proposed in the city.
According to official sources, the meeting discussed a number of urban plans, especially those related to schools and hospitals. The Deputy Commissioner expressed concern about the insufficient parking spaces in some of the proposed projects.
The concerned authorities were directed to review construction plans and ensure that there are adequate parking facilities to prevent traffic congestion and roadside parking in crowded areas.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed that basement parking should be included in projects wherever possible to avoid random parking outside educational institutions and hospitals.
The meeting was also attended by Chief District Council Officer Syed Faraz Mehdi and officials of relevant departments.
