Dera Ismail Khan (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13 March, 2026) The district police arrested a man within hours after he killed his mother with an ax in Bagwani area within the limits of Dera City Police Station.
According to the police, the arrest was made during a quick operation led by Dera Town station officer Khaled Javed Lashari under special instructions from district police officer Zia Uddin Ahmed.
The suspect, identified as Nimatullah bin Bashir Khan, a resident of Bagwani and belonging to the Baloch tribe, allegedly killed his mother by hitting her with an axe.
Acting immediately on the incident, SHO Khaled Javed Lashari along with his team launched a search operation and managed to nab the accused within a few hours. The police also found the murder weapon in his possession.
The suspect was arrested and a case was registered against him. Further investigations are underway.
