
Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves increased to US$21,598.3 million as of March 06, 2026, and reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan increased to US$16,341.1 million.
KARACHI (Urdu Point / Pakistan News – 12 March 2026) Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves rose to US$21,598.3 million as of March 6, 2026, while reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan also rose to US$16,341.1 million.
“During the week ending March 06, 2026, foreign exchange reserves at the State Bank of Pakistan increased by US$41 million to US$16,341.1 million,” the central bank said on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
While the net foreign reserves of commercial banks, according to the division of foreign exchange reserves, increased by $123 million to $5,257.2 million during the period under review.
The total liquid foreign reserves held by the state in the previous week ending February 27, 2026 amounted to $21,433.9 million.
Among them, the State Bank of Pakistan holds foreign exchange reserves amounting to $16,300 million, while commercial banks hold reserves equivalent to $5,133.9 million.
