Rawalpindi Traffic Police pays tribute to martyr Commander Naveed Khan

Rawalpindi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13 March 2026) Rawalpindi Traffic police on Thursday paid tribute to martyred traffic controller Naveed Khan on his death anniversary, with officers visiting his residence and grave to honor his sacrifices.

According to traffic police spokesperson, Deputy Traffic Superintendent Mehrabad Tayyab Abbas, along with a large number of traffic guards and traffic officials, visited the house of the martyred superintendent and met his family on the special directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam.

They recited Al-Fatihah over the soul of the deceased and placed a wreath of flowers on his grave, while a police squad, who attended in an elegant manner, saluted.

On behalf of the Director of Operations, flowers were placed on the grave of the martyred warden and gifts were presented to his children.

The spokesman said that traffic controller Naveed Khan was martyred on March 11, 2021 while performing his duty at a checkpoint near the transportation plant after being targeted by attackers.

Born on January 6, 1986, he joined the traffic police as a traffic controller on October 25, 2007.

The official spokesman said that the martyred officer was known as a loyal and courageous official who performed his duties with honesty and commitment.

In his statements, the Director of Operations said that the entire Traffic Police Department stood by the family of the martyred warden.

“We do not forget our martyrs and we do not leave their families alone,” he said, adding that the ministry and the country stood strong because of the sacrifices made by these brave individuals.
