Rawalpindi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12 Mar, 2026) Courts in Rawalpindi have sentenced two drug suppliers to 26 years in prison and a fine of Rs 700,000.
According to details, the court imposed a 14-year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 400,000 on convicted drug peddler Haroon, who was arrested by Waris Khan police in July 2025 after 5.2 kg of hashish was recovered from his possession.
In another case, the court sentenced Ehsan Shehzad to 12 years in prison and a fine of 300,000 rupees. He was arrested by Damial police in May 2025 after 3.
He was found in possession of 14 kilograms of Chara.
Police said the convictions were secured due to strong evidence and effective follow-up of the cases during investigation and trial.
City police officer RawalpindiSayed Khaled Mahmoud Hamdani praised the performance of the State Security Police and the investigation and legal teams to ensure that the ideal punishment was meted out to criminals.
He added that the police are taking all possible measures to eliminate the drug menace in society.
