QUETTA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th March, 2026) The people of Gandkha on Tuesday demanded the Balochistan government to take measures to reopen post office service in the region due to the closure of its office in Gandkha, where people are facing severe difficulties.
According to a press release, local residents appealed to the Balochistan government, Department Minister Sardar Faisal Khan Jamali, Chief Secretary Balochistan and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ramzan to immediately take notice and take practical steps to reopen the post office in Gandakha.
Residents of the area said that Gandkha is a major zoning area of the district, but due to the closure of the post office here since last year, people are deprived of basic amenities.
According to citizens, the presence of a post office is very important for the delivery of official letters, applications, documents and other important mail.
They said the closure of the post office not only affected government affairs but also had a negative impact on the future of students and youth.
