Wahari DC reviews Ramadan facilities, imposes fines worth 25.7 million rupees due to overpricing

Wahari (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6 Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Wahari Khalid Javed Goraya chaired a high-level meeting on Thursday to review public facilities and law and order arrangements during the holy month of Ramadan.

The meeting was attended by District Police Officer Taswar Iqbal and other concerned officials. Discussions focused on ensuring basic supplies food Items are fixed prices, and arrangements are made for Ramadan Bazaars, distribution of “Nigehban Cards” and management of “Nigehban Dastarkhwan” to help disadvantaged families.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed that maintaining a peaceful and safe environment for citizens remains the top priority. He urged the authorities to closely monitor suspicious activities and immediately report any concerns to the police.
