KARACHI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Mar, 2026) Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held an important meeting with prominent Shia scholars (Jafari scholars) in the Cabinet on Friday to review arrangements for upcoming religious occasions like Ali Day, Quds Day and Jumma of Life and discuss the prevailing regional situation.
The meeting was held at CM House and was attended by Provincial Ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon, Nasir Hussain Shah, Zia Hassan Langar, Riyaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, Senator Waqar Mehdi, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah and Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Udo. Among the scholars present were Allama Syed Shahenshah Naqvi, Allama Nizar Ahmad Qalandari, Allama Syed Baqir Hussain al-Zaidi, Syed Shabr Raza and other religious leaders.
The meeting began with prayers to raise the status of Ali Khamenei and the other martyrs.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the administrative and security arrangements for Ali Day, Al Quds Day, and the Hayat Community. The participants also exchanged views on guiding the public in light of the situation
This is after the recent attacks on Iran.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that the country is currently facing a war-like situation and hence the nation must show unity, brotherhood and patience.
He stressed that if proper guidance is provided to the public on the prevailing conditions, unnecessary problems can be avoided.
Murad Ali Shah said that maintaining peace, law and order in the city is the responsibility of the government. He added that consultations with religious scholars aim to ensure harmony and strengthen efforts to maintain peace.
The meeting decided to strengthen security and administrative arrangements for important religious days. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Sindh government was making the best possible security arrangements and urged religious scholars to cooperate with the government.
The participants agreed to further strengthen coordination between the Sindh government and religious scholars. The Prime Minister also appealed to the public to act responsibly and help maintain peace and order.
The meeting concluded with a consensus that the Sindh government and religious scholars will work together to promote peace, brotherhood and religious harmony throughout the province.
