Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6 March 2026) Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has collected more than Rs. 220 one billion in tax revenues during the first eight months of the current fiscal year, reflecting a significant increase in revenue collection.
The revenue collection during this period shows an increase of more than Rs. 63 billion compared to the same period last year. During the first eight months of the previous financial year, PRA collected Rs. 156.3 billion taxes.
This was revealed at a review meeting on monthly tax revenue targets here on Friday. PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra chaired the meeting and reviewed the performance of various regional offices.
Performance of PRA Commissioner LahoreMuhammad Asif was recognized for achieving his monthly revenue target. The President also praised the performance of the PRA Commissioner FaisalabadAftab Ahmed for their efforts in improving revenue collection.
Seabra said that the creation of new tax sectors contributed significantly to increasing tax collection. He added that additional administrative reforms would be introduced to achieve the largest tax collection target in the history of Punjab.
