QUETTA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th March, 2026) Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has instructed all laboratories and diagnostic centers in the province conducting pathological, radiological and other medical diagnostic tests to register with the authority and comply with tax regulations.
According to an official statement, BRA clarified that under the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services Act, 2015, a 2 percent sales tax is applicable on services related to pathological, radiological and diagnostic tests performed on patients.
The authority stressed that all diagnostic facilities operating in Balochistan are legally obligated to register with the BRA, pay the prescribed sales tax and submit tax returns for each period within the stipulated deadlines.
The BRA warned that laboratories that fail to register, pay taxes or submit returns on time could face penalties and legal action under the law.
The authority urged laboratory owners and administrators to ensure full compliance with tax laws to avoid legal complications and contribute to strengthening the revenue system in the governorate.
