ATC postpones bail hearing of Shah Mehmood Qureshi in May 9 cases

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6 March 2026) The Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday postponed the hearing of the bail applications submitted by the accused after arrest. Pakistan PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in two cases related to incidents of arson and vandalism that occurred from May 9 to March 13.

ATC Judge Manzar Ali Gill conducted the hearing on the bail petitions filed by the PTI leader.

During the proceedings, DSP’s lawyer Asif Javed submitted the case record before the court. However, Qureshi’s senior lawyer does not seem to be making any more arguments on the bail petitions.

His co-counsel appeared and requested additional time to present his arguments.

After accepting the request, the court postponed the session until March 13, and ordered the lawyer to complete the arguments in the next session.

Qureshi had filed bail petitions from jail in the cases related to burning of police vehicles near Mughalpura and near Jinnah House during the May 9 agitation.

The former foreign minister has already been acquitted in five cases registered regarding the events of May 9.
