The Chiniot Peace Committee and police discuss security measures for Ramadan and religious events

Chiniot (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Mar, 2026) A delegation of peace committee members on Wednesday met with Chiniot District Police Officer Dr Naveed Atif to review the law and order situation in the area and coordinate security measures for upcoming religious events. The meeting was attended by members of the provincial and district peace committee along with senior police officials, who collectively discussed strategies for maintaining order and ensuring public safety.

During the session, officials focused on the current national security situation and arrangements for the month of Ramadan, including Ramadan 21. Ramadan On the occasion of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him). DPO Dr Naveed Atif briefed the participants on enhanced police procedures, crowd management and preventive steps to avoid any untoward incidents during religious gatherings.

The contributions of the Peace Committee in promoting law and order, religious tolerance and communal harmony have been warmly recognised.

On this occasion, the Office for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities assured that the police will continue to vigilantly monitor miscreants and will support all initiatives aimed at promoting peace. Meanwhile, members of the Peace Committee pledged full cooperation to promote religious harmony, protect citizens and support stability throughout the region.

On this occasion, special prayers were offered for the protection of the community and the nation, underscoring the joint commitment of the police and civil society to maintain peace, security and social cohesion in Chiniot.
