Peshawar (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – April 4, 2026) A strong earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale shook parts of northern Khyber Pakthunkhwa on Friday evening.
according to Pakistan The meteorological station reported that the depth of the earthquake reached 190 kilometers in the Hindukash region of Afghanistan.
The earthquake was felt by the residents of Chitral. Peshawar, SwatNowshera, Shangla, Dir, Khyber and other northern areas of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
The PDMA has directed the district administration to provide prompt assistance to people in case of emergency. There have been no reports of casualties so far in any part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
