The operations were carried out in Margalla, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Secretariat, Golra and Lohi Pir police stations under the supervision of district superintendents of police, an official told APP on Saturday.
He said police officials were also involved in the search operations to ensure effective screening.
He said that during the operations, 542 individuals and 208 homes were searched, in addition to 98 commercial stores and 44 hotels.
He added that 286 motorcycles and 114 vehicles were searched while driving, while 57 suspects and 12 motorcycles were transferred to the relevant police stations for further verification.
The official said that the operations were conducted on the special directions of Inspector General of Police, Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to eradicate crime and ensure safety of citizens across the region.
He called on citizens to cooperate with the police during the inspection and to immediately report any suspicious activity.
