ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13 March 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory Police has deployed more than 3,500 officers and personnel across the country. Federalism capital to ensure security during Friday gatherings and Jerusalem Day processions.
Comprehensive and foolproof security arrangements have been made across the city, an official told APP on Friday.
He said that tight security measures had been taken around the Faisal Mosque as well as other mosques and imams, while special security arrangements had been made for the Quds Day marches.
Inspector Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that inspections have been tightened at all entry and exit points in the city and special checkpoints have been established.
He added that effective police patrols continue throughout the city to maintain law and order.
The Directorate of General Investigation reiterated that ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and properties remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
