178 babies were born during the Eid holiday in Al-Sawabi Hospitals

Peshawar, March 25, 2026) During the Eid al-Fitr holiday, a total of 178 babies were born in various hospitals in Swabi district, according to official reports issued by medical education institutions on Wednesday.

The report stated that 5,824 patients received medical treatment at MTI Hospitals during the Eid holiday. Healthcare services remained fully operational, with doctors and medical staff providing uninterrupted care throughout the holiday period.

In addition, 215 people injured in road accidents were transported to hospitals and received timely medical assistance. From March 19 to 23, more than 200 minor and major surgeries were successfully performed.

The report also indicated that 7 people injured in violent and shooting incidents were treated.

A total of 164 dog bite cases have been reported and all affected individuals have been provided with the necessary vaccinations.

Moreover, the hospitals conducted 4,872 medical examinations and provided free dialysis services to 132 patients. Diagnostic services included 110 CT scans, 695 X-rays, 290 electrocardiograms, and more than 40 ultrasound examinations.

About 260 patients were admitted to hospitals during Eid, which reflects the continued demand for healthcare services even during official holidays.

The health authorities expressed their appreciation for the dedication of the doctors and medical staff who ensured the uninterrupted provision of healthcare services during the Eid celebrations.
